Good afternoon everyone!
I hope all of you had a great holiday season!
Our newest beer on tap is the Arrogant Brit ESB. Those of you who followed us from the Cheshire Cat Brewpub know this beer well. We generally do not brew an ESB as they are relatively similar to the Legendary Red, however we have been brewing more traditional Ales and Lagers as of recently. An ESB is an Extra Special Bitter, except that they aren't "bitter" for US standards- just British ones. We used traditional imported malts to make this beer true to style. Think of this beer as the Legendary Red Ale combined with the Mad Molly Brown Ale, the best of both worlds. The Arrogant Brit is on tap now, and will be in cans soon. Just look for the label with the goose.
The Denver Westword recently published their best 11 beers of 2024, one of which was our Vienna Lager, and we still have a couple BBLS left on tap and some in cans. https://www.westword.com/restaurants/best-colorado-beers-2024-22785964
Which brings me to my next point- the Denver Westword is having their annual Best of Denver awards. All of you have previously helped GCB win best Brewery in Golden, and if you have a chance I would appreciate your vote for Golden City Brewery in the brewery category of this contest https://www.westword.com/best-of-denver-readers-choice-poll Every vote makes a difference, and really helps GCB out!
If you're ever around Golden the first week of February, you know that week is Capped on one end with the UllrGrass festival and Goldens in Golden on the other weekend. GCB will be pouring beer at the UllrGrass beer fest on Saturday Feb 1st, like we always do. If you've never been to UllrGrass, it is a blast! You need tickets for the events Friday and Saturday. Sunday is family day, opening with an egg hunt at 11am and baby goats at noon (in Parfet Park, free entry!). If you have a doggo or two, bring them around GCB Feb 8th as we have free pup cups and a waste station. We'll also be serving our new Pup-Cuterie plates, a charcuterie specially made for dogs.
And for the news you've all been waiting for- we have made progress with the food truck and are just waiting for our final inspections! Look forward to an early spring opening!
Thank you all for reading this email, taking the time to support us in person, or through online gift card purchases, and even a silly little vote in the Westword! All the support means the world to us. We are a small family run brewery and we notice and appreciate you!
Thank you,
Tamara and the Sturdavants
